Virtual Orthodontics Asisstant (DMD)

MedVA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Virtual Orthodontic Assistant (DMD) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support orthodontists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of orthodontic practice virtually. Your responsibilities will include managing patient records, coordinating appointments, and providing assistance with treatment plans and patient follow-ups, all while utilizing the latest technology and software to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assist orthodontists with treatment planning and case management
• Coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling efficiently
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Provide virtual support for patient consultations and follow-up care
• Communicate effectively with patients to inform them about treatment processes, timelines, and expectations
• Manage and order dental supplies as needed
• Support the orthodontic team with administrative tasks as required

Requirements

• Must hold a DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree or equivalent
• Previous experience in orthodontics preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience with dental software and virtual communication tools
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and practices
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care
• Must have a reliable internet connection and necessary computer equipment to work from home
