How You’ll Make an Impact

The Quality Assurance Analyst FCC is primarily responsible for creating, reviewing and executing test cases to ensure applications are defect free. The QA Analyst ensures that quality standards are met and adhered to by using their knowledge, quality assurance methods, tools and techniques.  Testing automation outcomes from business automation projects, such as RPA workflow systems.

What You Will Do

1.Assist in developing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports on multiple projects of varying sizes. Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.

  • Complete test cases, document deficiencies, and provide sign-off on testing completion.

2. Perform testing on various software:

  • Successfully complete manual and automated testing within the given timeframe. For agile projects, participate in daily stand-ups and other scrum meetings to ensure alignment and progress.

3.Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.

  • Collaborate with the business and/or product owner and **acquire** user sign-off on test results. Participate in Sprint retrospectives to continuously improve the process.

4. Foster a culture of transparency, leadership, and collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the business after test cycle completion, report on testing results, and identify process improvements. Participate in sprint retrospectives to determine the best approach to future projects.
  • Strive to always exceed client expectations by providing consistent, high-quality service.
  • Take a customer-centric approach in responding to people and situations, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and positively.

5.Assist with the development of testing routines and procedures:

  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution or approach to testing. Continuously refine testing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

6.Collaborate with team members on design specs:

  • Liaise between BSA, QA functions, and UAT to ensure seamless integration and execution.
  • Ensure the environment reflects business requirements for test execution and meets all necessary criteria for successful testing.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Software and Processes.
  • Experience or knowledge with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr add-ons for JIRA Agile.
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall Methodologies.
  • Familiarity with web development and cloud computing.
  • Business Process Understanding to effectively translate business needs into technical requirements.

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in experience in Manual and Automated Quality Assurance
  • Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a technology role (development, QA, or business systems analysis), or in an operations role in the financial services/ brokerage industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer/technical skills with a focus on quality control.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience or knowledge of Test Automation Tools, such as Selenium, Cucumber, Katalon.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
  • Agile Training Course.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level.
  • Business systems analysis training.
