WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Vice President of Sales - Convenience and DSD Execution (US Regulated), you will be responsible for driving the expansion and performance of the direct store delivery (DSD) network within the regulated U.S. market. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, you will lead a high-performing sales team, develop key retail and distributor relationships, and execute strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, expand distribution, and increase market penetration.


Your role will be pivotal in accelerating sales execution, expanding reach in the convenience sector, and successfully launching into new retail channels while optimizing operational efficiency. This position requires a strong leader who thrives in a high-growth environment and has a proven track record of scaling DSD networks and managing key accounts in the regulated CPG space.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion by increasing distribution, expanding into new retail accounts, and optimizing sales execution.
  • Improve sales processes and efficiency to enhance deal closure rates and reduce the sales cycle time.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key retailers, distributors, and category managers to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, expanding field presence and improving account penetration.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support national and regional campaigns that drive volume growth and brand visibility.
  • Leverage CRM tools and sales analytics to track performance, optimize execution, and improve forecasting.
  • Expand DSD coverage and strengthen the company's presence in key markets by securing new retail placements and distribution agreements.
  • Work cross-functionally to align sales strategies with overall company goals, ensuring seamless execution and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities in emerging channels, including natural and fitness markets, and lead the expansion into these segments.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Extensive experience in DSD sales and business development, with a proven track record of scaling distributor networks to drive revenue growth and market penetration. Experience managing networks covering 5+ states and expanding into 30+ new accounts annually.
  • Strong leadership in national and regional sales expansion, including hiring, training, and managing high-performing teams of 100+ sales professionals across multiple territories.
  • Deep industry relationships with key decision-makers in national and regional convenience chains, distributors, and independent retail networks, with the ability to leverage these connections for immediate impact.
  • Expertise in go-to-market strategies, trade promotions, and retail activation, ensuring successful product launches and sustained sales growth in competitive, regulated categories.
  • Strong financial acumen, with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and optimizing trade spend to maximize profitability.
  • Proven ability to lead high-stakes negotiations and secure long-term strategic partnerships with major retailers, distributors, and brand partners.
  • Experience navigating regulatory compliance and market complexities in highly regulated CPG sectors, ensuring seamless execution in a competitive landscape.
  • Background working in entrepreneurial, founder-led companies, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and the ability to execute in fast-paced, high-growth environments.


COMPENSATION

An aggressive base salary will be provided in this position, with an additional lucrative bonus plan based on performance. In this role you will contribute directly to a highly lucrative exit and will be rewarded generously as a result. Full medical benefits are provided as part of this roll.
