Your Role

As an Associate Product Manager at Virtual Internships, you will play a key role in shaping global internship experiences through data-driven product decisions. You will help design and refine products that create meaningful opportunities for students worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll lead product initiatives that directly impact thousands of students. Here's everything you will be doing:

  • You'll own specific product features from initial concept through launch and iteration
  • You'll analyze user feedback and usage data to identify key insights and improvement opportunities
  • You'll conduct user interviews and research to deeply understand pain points and user needs
  • You'll create detailed product specifications and requirements for our engineering team
  • You'll collaborate with designers to create intuitive user experiences that solve real problems
  • You'll define success metrics for product features and track performance post-launch
  • You'll work cross-functionally with stakeholders to align on requirements and priorities
  • You'll participate in sprint planning and daily standups to ensure smooth project execution
  • You'll prioritize feature requests and bug fixes based on user impact and business value
  • You'll create and maintain product documentation that's clear and accessible

    Who We're Looking For
    Technical Skills You'll Need 🔧
    • You have 1+ years of product management experience (internship or full-time)
    • You can translate business requirements into technical specifications
    • You're skilled at documenting decisions and communicating them to diverse audiences
    • You understand basic web technologies and can communicate effectively with engineers
    • You're experienced with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Figma, etc.)
    • You can create clear user stories, product specs, and flowcharts
    • You understand the principles of user experience design and usability testing
    • You're proficient with SQL and comfortable analyzing data to make product decisions
    • You're comfortable with analytics tools to track product performance
