Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal & Presentation Design Specialist with experience in a major consulting firm to support our consulting practice in developing compelling, visually engaging, and insight-driven proposals. This role requires deep expertise in PowerPoint (PPT) storytelling, structuring presentations, and translating complex business requirements into clear and impactful visual narratives. 

The ideal candidate will have experience crafting proposals in a consulting environment and will be familiar with how top-tier consultancies develop and use PowerPoint-based proposals to win business. This person must have strong business acumen, visual storytelling ability, and expertise in diagramming complex concepts into intuitive, high-impact slides. 

This role is based in Mexico but will primarily serve American stakeholders, requiring fluency in American English and a strong grasp of North American business communication norms. 

Key Responsibilities 

Proposal & Presentation Development 

  • Design and develop high-impact PowerPoint presentations for client proposals, sales decks, and business development materials. 
  • Storyboard proposals to structure messaging logically and persuasively. 
  • Translate business requirements into clear visuals, including process diagrams, frameworks, infographics, and data-driven insights. 
  • Craft visually compelling narratives that effectively communicate complex business challenges and solutions. 
  • Ensure proposals align with best practices used by major consulting firms, incorporating the latest industry trends, insights, and competitive intelligence. 

Business & Industry Understanding 

  • Work closely with business leaders, sales teams, and subject matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into compelling presentations. 
  • Stay up to date with sales enablement trends, including content creation, automation, and AI-driven tools for proposal development. 
  • Ensure presentations reflect current business trends, market insights, and client pain points in a way that resonates with stakeholders. 

Creative & Visual Storytelling 

  • Apply best-in-class design principles to improve readability, flow, and impact. 
  • Utilize icons, graphics, and data visualization techniques to make complex topics more digestible. 
  • Maintain a balance between consulting-style business communication and creative design to ensure clarity and engagement. 
  • Adhere to brand guidelines while introducing innovative visual storytelling techniques. 

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Work cross-functionally with sales teams, consultants, and leadership to refine messaging and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and quality. 
  • Provide coaching and guidance to teams on best practices for structuring and delivering impactful proposals. 

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in proposal development within a top-tier consulting firm (Big 4, MBB, or equivalent). 
  • Fluent English
  • Mexico resident
  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills (storyboarding, slide design, templates, animations, and diagrams). 
  • Strong business acumen with experience translating strategic business insights into clear, compelling presentations. 
  • Experience creating client proposals and presentations in a consulting, business development, or sales enablement role. 
  • Deep understanding of consulting-style presentation formats and how major firms use PPT for sales and client communication. 
  • Strong visual storytelling skills—ability to design effective slides that clarify complex business problems. 
  • Familiarity with sales enablement trends such as AI-driven automation, content creation tools, and modern sales technologies. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in American English. 
  • Experience working with U.S.-based stakeholders while being based in Mexico is a plus. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools for content generation and automation in the proposal space. 
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Canva) is a plus but not required. 
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
