Job Description:

An Estimator will be responsible for calculating the costs of materials, labor, and other expenses to provide accurate estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  •  Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
  • Analyze project scopes and develop cost estimates based on materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
  • Obtain price quotes and bids from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Calculate material quantities and costs, including pricing for procurement and delivery.
  • Estimate labor costs based on project timelines, manpower requirements, and labor rates.
  • Assess project risks and factors that may impact costs, providing recommendations to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to refine estimates and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, materials prices, and market conditions to inform estimates.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Architecture, Project Management or related field (or equivalent experience) a plus.
  • Previous experience in construction estimating or related roles preferred.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analysis accurately.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and quantities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software/tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Requirements
  • 8GB+ RAM
  • Intel i3 8th generation or newer, an AMD Ryzen 3 2nd generation or newer, or an M1 chip.
  • Windows 11 or from macOS Mojave to the latest version. 
  • 25 - 50  Mbps Internet Speed (Minimum)
  • USB headset with noise-canceling (ideally)
