Job Description:

The Vice President of Enterprise Data and AI Workforce Productivity is a collaborative leader who aligns executives and business functions through an integrated vision that best leverages the power of our data across the enterprise.  This executive is responsible for establishing and implementing this vision for the organization's data, analytics, and AI assets to drive value for business stakeholders.  Core responsibilities include creating and managing a cohesive strategy for data, analytics, and AI, executing related programs, and establishing and leading the data, analytics, and AI function.    

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive Data, Analytics, and AI Strategy:

  • Create and manage data, analytics, and AI strategy: Develop a comprehensive strategy that aligns with business goals and drives measurable outcomes.
  • Execute related programs and practices: Implement programs that support the strategy and ensure successful execution.
  • Establish and lead the data, analytics, and AI function: Build and manage a team to deliver on the strategy and drive innovation.

Develop Talent and Culture:

  • Develop talent and mature the data, analytics, and AI culture: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement and develop the skills of team members and the business at large.
  • Build trust and manage data: Ensure data integrity and build trust with stakeholders through transparent practices.

Evolve Technology Capabilities:

  • Investigate, adopt, and exploit artificial intelligence: Stay abreast of AI advancements and integrate them into the organization's processes.
  • Develop new data and AI products or services: Innovate and create new offerings to expand markets and monetize data.

Ensure Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Engage with key stakeholders: Collaborate with business leaders to understand and prioritize needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Influence business leaders:  Envision and drive cross-functional capabilities that accelerate improvements to the business, and influence business leaders to collaborate in executing on the vision. 
  • Maintain open communication: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to support effective collaboration.

Optimize Performance:

  • Monitor and evaluate performance: Continuously assess the performance of data, analytics, and AI initiatives to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze user feedback and usage data: Use insights to make recommendations for optimization and enhancement.

Manage Regulatory and Governance Programs:

  • Lead regulatory and compliance programs: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to data, analytics, and AI.
  • Organize and chair governance councils: Oversee governance bodies to make informed decisions regarding data and AI practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of data, analytics, and AI professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Set strategic direction, performance goals, and priorities for the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports to enhance their leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and career growth.
  • Oversee resource planning, hiring, and talent development to build a scalable, future-ready data and AI function.
  • Define and implement best practices for team structure, workflow, and operational efficiency to maximize impact.
  • Foster a data-driven and ethical AI culture, ensuring responsible AI development, governance, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to integrate data and AI capabilities across the enterprise and drive business transformation.
  • Drive accountability and performance measurement, regularly assessing team effectiveness and ensuring the delivery of high-impact AI and analytics solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Business acumen and knowledge of data, analytics, and AI: Understand how to leverage data and AI to support business strategy.
  • Clear communication skills: Effectively present and facilitate discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills: Lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with data, analytics, and AI technologies: Proven ability to implement and manage these technologies in a business context.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree: In business administration, STEM, computer science, data science, information systems, or related field.
  • Experience: Fifteen or more years of business experience, with five or more years of leadership experience in data, analytics, and AI programs.
