Manager, Commercial Operations

Location: UK Remote

Overview:

We are seeking a Manager, Commercial Operations to drive operational excellence, manage key reporting functions, and act as a historical expert within our Commercial Operations team. This position offers the unique opportunity to influence decision-making, optimize processes, and lead a team of Commercial Analysts while contributing to cross functional initiatives across sales, marketing, finance, and customer success. The role is a cornerstone of operational continuity and strategy, with responsibilities evolving to align with organizational growth in 2H2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Insights:

• Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests from commercial team leadership, ensuring timely delivery and data accuracy.

• Lead the creation and delivery of the "Sales Cockpit" report, summarizing key sales and marketing performance metrics monthly.

• Contribute to the Monthly Business Review (MBR) and Board Packet by ensuring data alignment and strategic relevance.

• Assess, triage, and fulfill reporting requests from external team members and stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Finance, Customer Success, and the Board of Directors.

Forecast Management:

• Lead weekly forecast meetings with sales and marketing teams to address pipeline gaps and refine data.

• Collaborate with the Salesforce Manager and contractors to maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in Salesforce.

Historical Knowledge Base:

• Serve as the historical expert for operational and process changes since the company’s merger, maintaining detailed records for strategic decisions.

• Provide leadership with historical insights and context to aid in decision-making.

Operational Excellence:

• Drive consistency and accuracy in data management processes across the Commercial Operations team.

• Partner with the Marketing/Sales Ops Manager and offshore teams to improve operational workflows and efficiencies.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Customer Success teams to execute cross functional initiatives effectively.

Reporting Cadence:

• Monthly Sales Roll-up Report: Monthly

• Forecast Meeting Notes: Weekly

• Ad-hoc Reports: As requested by Finance, Customer Success, or the Executive Team

• Board Packet Contribution: Monthly

• Commission Report: Quarterly

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years in Commercial Operations, Business Operations, or a similar role, preferably in SaaS, Life Sciences, or related industries.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel (advanced functions), and Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

o Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

o Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional initiatives.
