About the Role 

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer with hands-on experience in Shopify app development, especially Public Shopify Apps that have met the criteria for the Built for Shopify (BFS) program. You’ll play a key role in crafting polished, performant user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Shopify’s Polaris design system. This role would be ideal for developers who enjoy building clean, intuitive UI/UX for Shopify apps.

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and maintain scalable public Shopify apps using modern technologies (React, TypeScript, Shopify Polaris).
• Ensure apps meet Built for Shopify standards, focusing on performance, security, and user experience.
• Implement interfaces using Shopify’s Polaris design system, ensuring consistency with Shopify’s UX guidelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to scope and deliver new features.
• Maintain and refactor existing apps to align with updated Shopify APIs and platform changes.
  
  

Requirements 

• 3 plus years of frontend development experience, with hands-on Shopify exposure.
• Experience building or contributing to Public Shopify Apps (BFS recognition).
• Proficient in React, TypeScript, and working with Shopify Polaris.
• Understanding of Shopify’s app ecosystem and API structure (REST and GraphQL).
• Solid grasp of frontend fundamentals – performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment with Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus theme development is a plus.
