Job description

This is a remote position.

A Korean teacher is responsible for teaching the Korean language and culture to students.

Some specific job duties of a Korean teacher may include:
  • Planning and delivering lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and goals of the school or district.
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement and participation.
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback to students, parents, and school administrators.
  • Keeping accurate records of student attendance and grades.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up to date on best practices in teaching Korean as a second language.
  • Collaborating with other teachers and school staff to support student learning and success.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or cultural events, to provide additional learning opportunities for students.
  • Being knowledgeable about Korean culture, literature, and history and incorporating this knowledge into lesson plans and classroom activities.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field, such as linguistics or Asian studies.
  • Be fluent in both Korean and English.
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to adapt your teaching style to the needs of your students.
  • Be knowledgeable about Korean culture, literature, and history and be able to incorporate this knowledge into lesson plans and classroom activities.
  • Have experience with or be willing to learn instructional technology and use it in the classroom.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Have a positive attitude and be able to motivate and inspire students.
