Job Description

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing the logistics of inventory for the company, ensuring that orders are efficiently processed, and that inventory levels are accurately maintained. This role will also involve proposing cost-saving shipping solutions and working with international logistics platforms such as Flexport, Amazon Fulfillment, Walmart Fulfillment, and Shopify.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery of products.
Manage and monitor inventory levels on Flexport and Shopify, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Forecast demand, manage product replenishment and optimize warehouse space utilization.
Utilize Amazon Fulfillment and Walmart Fulfillment when needed.

2. Order Creation & Processing

Create orders on the relevant platforms and ensure they are processed accurately and on time.
Track and follow up on order processing, picking and packing, shipping procedures to ensure timely delivery.

3. Customer and Supplier Communication

Respond to customer inquiries regarding their orders and delivery timelines, providing excellent customer service.
Connect with suppliers to manage purchase orders and coordinate pick-up or delivery of products in/out warehouses.

4. Cost Optimization

Propose shipping solutions that reduce costs for the company and clients.
Analyze logistics data, optimize, and negotiate shipping quotes by seeking the best deals for shipping services and implementing cost-saving strategies.
Work with the internal accounting team for cost-related activities and information.

5. Vendor Management

Communicate with vendors, logistics providers, and warehouses to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Experience:

Proven experience with Flexport, Shopify inventory management, and knowledge of Amazon Fulfillment and Walmart Fulfillment (preferred but not required).
Experience with international logistics and inventory management.

Skills:

Strong understanding of logistics processes, both inbound and outbound.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to propose cost-saving shipping solutions.
Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain high accuracy in inventory tracking and order processing.
Proficiency in using relevant logistics and inventory management platforms (Flexport, Shopify, etc.).
Ability to work U.S. Eastern time zone hours (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Eastern Time)
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
