Description :

Overall Responsibility

• Drive and steer the SW deliveries from SAFe PO perspective

• Plan, Establish and communicate Program Increments (PI's) across the PDLC

• Facilitate SAFe processes and execution.

PI Planning preparation

· Breakdown Product Backlog to EPICS &Iteration Backlogs, Refinement, Estimation, Prioritisation, Iteration Planning

PI Execution

Track the progress of Iterations across PI -> Iteration Planning & Closure (Acceptance of Backlogs)

Monitor, Track key execution Metrics of PI & take necessary actions to control deviations ( if any )

PI Closure

Facilitation System Demo & evaluate the business objectives met

Facilitate improvement for the team (e.g. through Inspect and Adapt (I&
A) workshops)

  • Foster collaboration between teams and system-level stakeholders to drive the objectives of the SW project.
  • Understand, track, Mitigate, Manage the Risks, impediments, dependencies
  • Periodic synchronization meetings (Meeting with Product Manager-PO Sync, Core Team Meetings with SYS-PM and the business owners)
  • Assist Product manager by prioritizing Features (decision-making) by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics.
  • Coach teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Track the SW requirements engineering progress & facilitate the on-time completion of required inputs to the SW team
  • The Point of contact person for team escalation (if any) and manage them well
  • Resource Planning, share inputs to budget planning, track & monitor the usage of the allocated budget.

• Understand SW components/subcomponents requirements, architectural designs, and usage of development & test tools

• Knowledge of standards and norms for development and test

• Knowledge of product engineering process, Audits, and product life cycle following ASPICE L3 or above.
