About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in veterinary medical technology, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with a background or strong familiarity with veterinary medical devices. This role involves creating clear, accurate, and regulatory-compliant documentation that supports product development, user training, and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, SOPs, and product labeling
Translate complex veterinary device concepts into clear, concise language
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, veterinarians, and QA/regulatory teams
Ensure documentation complies with industry regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.)
Conduct research, interviews, and device testing to fully understand product functionality
Assist in developing training materials and customer support documentation

Qualifications

3+ years of technical writing experience (preferably in medical or veterinary devices)
Solid understanding of veterinary medicine and/or animal health technology
Experience with regulatory documentation (FDA, CE marking, ISO standards)
Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Office)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Bachelors degree in English, Technical Writing, Life Sciences, or related field

Nice to Have

Prior experience working in a veterinary or animal health setting
Knowledge of UX writing or instructional design
Experience with document management systems (e.g., Veeva, Confluence, SharePoint)
