Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Medicaid MMIS Testing Analyst to join a state Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) Modernization Program. This role will operate under the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) framework, with a focus on supporting the MMIS system as it transitions functionality to other modules. The successful candidate will assist in testing efforts to ensure that legacy MMIS functionality is turned off appropriately, that the MMIS integrates effectively with replacement modules, and that all transitions are processed accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all testing efforts related to MMIS transitions within the broader MES modernization program
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to validate MMIS integrations with new replacement modules
  • Collaborate with the state Medicaid Agency, the Systems Integrator (SI), and multiple modular contractors to ensure seamless coordination of testing activities
  • Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and standards for Medicaid systems testing
  • Identify testing requirements, risks, and dependencies across project modules and provide risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist in functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing phases for MMIS transitions and module integrations
  • Support defect tracking, resolution, and reporting activities
  • Contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality test results, supporting go-live readiness assessments for MMIS transitions
  • Work closely with testers and project team members to ensure thorough test execution
  • Report testing progress, issues, and risks to key stakeholders regularly

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Medicaid systems testing, with specific expertise in MMIS transitions and modular integrations
  • Experience supporting Medicaid testing efforts in MMIS or MES modernization projects - strong preference given towards prior testing experience with interChange MMIS solution
  • Knowledge of MMIS operations, transition planning, and integration requirements
  • Understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and testing tools
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including State Medicaid Agencies, Systems Integrators, and modular contractors
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Familiarity with CMS certification requirements
  • Knowledge of automated testing framework and tools
