Job description

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

About the Role

We are hiring a Patient Safety Associate (PSA) to be a key member of our Patient Safety Team. This role partners closely with internal teams, offering subject matter resources and guidance both internally and externally to providers and patients regarding patient safety and clinical risk concerns. PSAs are licensed clinicians responsible for resolving questions, concerns, and provider needs related to receiving and delivering clinical risk safeguard and proper patient care at Rula, ensuring that providers are connected with resources while providing accurate clinical-risk information. In daily interactions with Rulans, providers, and patients, this role will offer a broad knowledge base of clinical-risk documentation, licensing regulations, patient safety and clinical risk best practices, including the code of ethics for all behavioral health professions. This role is perfect for an individual looking to apply their problem solving skills addressing clinical risk and complex situations, adverse events, leveraging their clinical knowledge, while working in a fast-paced, and quick-responding to high-risk patient situations.

Our Patient Safety Team’s expertise is highly trusted and valued by our network of over 10,000 providers, patients, and internal Rula team members. Confidence in one’s general clinical skills, high-risk patient care, crisis intervention practices, ethical practice-based decision-making, and provider experience in managing clinical risk cases all come into play working together as a quick-response team. We are impact driven, work quickly, efficiently, and effectively, and collaborate with multiple teams across our organization. We respect one another, know how to delegate based on strengths, and are always coming up with new ideas and possibilities to strengthen our patient safety initiatives and overall systems of care!
