The GEHA Summer Internship Program is designed to provide the following to students:The internship will provide an overview of the respective area and allow learning in the healthcare industry. This intern will work on a variety of projects; participate in department meetings and activities. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports; assist in preparing written reports; and accompany or shadow professional level employees on assignments. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the functional area.
Additional duties will be determined by the department sponsor.
Key Duties
Conduct market research and support sourcing of early-stage digital health startups aligned with G.E.H.A’s strategic focus
Assist with financial modeling, competitive analysis, and due diligence on potential investments
Help draft internal investment memos, summaries, and presentation materials
Support tracking and reporting for current portfolio companies
Participate in internal meetings, team discussions, and external events to deepen understanding of the venture capital and healthcare innovation ecosystem
Gain exposure to corporate venture capital decision-making and strategic alignment processes
Requirements
Current MBA Student with 3.0 overall GPA
2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, startup, or related field
Foundational analytical skills, including comfort with financial modeling and market research
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and demonstrated initiative
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
