Role:
Splunk/Cisco IT is seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer with strong ServiceNow experience and development skills. Working alongside the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams, you will share responsibility for the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk/Cisco. We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong skills and experience particularly across the ITSM practices and their associated SNOW modules
Responsibilities:
- Provides application ServiceNow development services and technical leadership support
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains ServiceNow software applications
- Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
- Handles incidents per published SLAs, ensures system stability by leading required maintenance schedule, and addresses system issues impacting SLAs
- Implement ServiceNow workflows that integrate with external web services
- Designs and develops a workflow framework that can be applied to many workflows, and continuing to seek new opportunities to improve our current manual processes
- Provides standard methodologies for guiding adoption and influencing the customer to make investments in the solution
- Define the services that ServiceNow delivers and gets alignment with customers on service definitions, SLAs and critical metrics
- Contribute to a ServiceNow roadmap that plans out investments in system maintenance, upgrade schedule, system improvements and additions to the ServiceNow ecosystem that aligns with the longer term goals and objectives of IT and SNOW’s customers
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of overall ITSM experience
- 4+ years’ experience developing on the ServiceNow platform
- ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA) certification
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification
- ITIL V3 Foundation or above
- Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX
- Experience of one popular web framework - React, AngularJS
- Ability to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs and Rest Messages
- Experience integrating to multiple data sources used to populate the CMDB (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports)
- Experience with standard methodologies of software development - logging, unit testing (ATF), code reviews, etc
- Advanced scripting experience utilizing best practice formatting and comments in Script Includes, Business Rules, etc
- Experience with upgrades and skipped update remediation
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing the Agile/Scrum methodology to define and deliver development work
- Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one of the OOTB ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.)
- ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications
- ITIL V4 Foundation or above

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $174,800.00 - 240,350.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $157,320.00 - 216,315.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $139,840.00 - 192,280.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
