The
Clinical Science Specialist (CSS) is a scientific/clinical genomics expert providing education and clinical support to internal and external clients. The CSS is a field-based position and will play a critical role in providing support to the sales team. This role will work closely with clients, marketing and sales.
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and clinical presentations on the genomics product portfolio at clinics, customer events, and scientific meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders and key decision makers
- Collaborate with medical societies, key organizations, and advocacy groups
- Develop and review educational materials for providers and patients
- Develop and participate in virtual educational content
- Provide clinical support to clinicians, and help them perform genetic testing in their practice
- Support and educate internal customers (sales, marketing, clinical and laboratory operations) as it relates to expertise
- Collect and report on new developments, emerging literature, and competitive market information
- Attend tradeshows and medical conferences
- Utilize internal databases to assist customers and internal colleagues with data generation and analysis
Travel:
- Ability to travel :30% of the time within assigned region as well as nationally when needed and manage a demanding schedule .
Qualifications
Experience:
- Over 3 years' experience in the fertility genomics space.
- Experience in reproductive genetics preferred.
- Clinical research experience.
- Ability to critically evaluate the medical literature.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Tech savvy: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Google Apps (Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations), and CRM Tools.
- Passing of background check, which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and driving records.
Education/ Training:
- Advanced degree in genetics is required for consideration; genetic counselor credentials strongly preferred.

The starting base pay for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000 with a total earnings potential of up to $140,000 at target. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
