As a Central Office Installer III, you will travel the country developing new skills, working in a safety-minded environment, and joining us in expanding technology for a better community. Responsibilities
As a Central Office Installer III, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting installation specifications to ensure precise and high-quality execution across various construction projects. This role requires a commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to handle challenges effectively.
In addition, you will:
Install, mount frames, drill floors, test, and label fiber equipment.
Work on fiber optics transmission systems.
Follow scope of work (SOW) and method of procedure (MOP).
Install and integrate telecom transmission equipment in central offices.
Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling.
Assemble, modify, and install relay racks, transmission equipment, and cable ladders.
Run power, signal, and ground cables; terminate single/multi-strand and coax cables.
Ensure compliance with customer installation and quality standards (IP72202).
Maintain accurate records, drawings, BOMs, and job status updates.
Supervise and provide guidance to lower-level installers.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Level II Central Office Installer, Data Center, or similar experience.
Experience with ATT, Ciena, and Verizon equipment preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and job-related databases.
Ability to lift tools/equipment (minimum 10 lbs).
Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship.
High School diploma or equivalent technical training (2 years of trade school preferred).
Valid Driver's License with clean record past 3 years.
Reliable vehicle.
Ability and enjoyment of flying on a consistent basis.
Ability to travel 1-4 weeks at a time consistently.
