Sr Director, Physical Security - Remote
Job Description

The Sr. Director Security manages and maintains an organization's physical security. They establish and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the company's infrastructure, facilities, employees, and customers. They develop a security framework covering physical security, risk management, and incident response. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and create preventive measures. As senior leaders, they advise the executive team and board, and work with stakeholders to communicate and enforce security strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive security and safety framework to protect the company's assets, facilities and employees
  • Designing and implementing security and safety policies, procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and maintain a secure environment
  • Provides physical audits of corporate facilities based on developed standards and provide written reports to include corrective action recommendations to findings
  • Investigating and monitoring incident response activities, including investigations, root cause analysis and developing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities and devise preventive measures
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and industry associations
  • Leading security and safety awareness programs and training initiatives to educate employees about best practices and potential threats
  • Provisioning and coordinating all security related needs for various types of situations
  • Leading and developing a team of security personnel, fostering a safety, security and accountability culture
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • 10 years experience in security management including physical security, cybersecurity and risk assessment
  • 7 years management/people leadership experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments, stakeholders, clients and vendors
  • Proficiency in using security equipment and software
  • Proven ability to manage complex security projects and budgets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, CISSP) preferred

Minimum Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to “move or traverse”
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment.
  • Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

Potential pay for this position ranges from $143,000.00 - $243,000.00 based on experience and skills.
