Job description

Our client is a family-owned company selling micro-needling devices, kits, and dermaceuticals mainly to distributors, consumers, and treatment clinics.

They are now looking to hire an Events Inventory Officer to manage purchasing, stock levels, and supplier coordination, ensuring seamless inventory operations across their international supply chain.

Job Responsibilities:

Inventory & Event Logistics

  • Coordinate shipments for events, updating ETD/ETA details in the company system.
  • Manage inbound and outbound stock movement with global 3PL partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain regular communication with 3PLs, suppliers, manufacturers, and freight partners.
  • Communicate stock updates and potential issues across internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Operations team to ensure kits and bundles are prepared according to event requirements.

Customer & Team Support

  • Assist with resolving outstanding sales order issues where needed.
  • Liaise with the Customer Service team on matters such as lost-in-transit items, replacements, and credit requests.
  • Troubleshoot stock discrepancies, including short deliveries and faulty stock.

Purchasing & Supply Management

  • Raise and send purchase orders to local and international suppliers.
  • Confirm product details, quantities, pricing, and lead times, and update records accordingly.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues around packaging, MOQ, DIFOT, and supply terms.
  • Review and manage supplier performance, ensuring best lead times and cost efficiency are maintained.

Warehouse Support (Occasional)

  • Assist in physical stock management, including stocktakes and kitting operations.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improving inventory, warehouse, and event logistics processes.
  • Support other Supply Chain team members as required due to the small team size.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain coordination.
  • Strong understanding of 3PL operations and logistics management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using inventory and purchasing systems or ERPs.
  • Prior exposure to trade show/event logistics highly regarded.
