Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Content to lead our content strategy and execution across all media channels. This is a key role in our growing company, requiring a blend of scientific knowledge, journalistic skills, and a deep understanding of health and wellness culture. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive brand voice, ensuring that all content aligns with our business objectives, and driving audience engagement across digital, social, and traditional media platforms.

Responsibilities

Reporting to our Founder, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Content Strategy & Development: Design and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our mission, values, and business goals.

  • Brand Voice & Messaging: Define, refine, and maintain a consistent brand voice across all content and media channels. Shepherd the brand’s evolving tone and voice across every medium.

  • Industry Awareness & Networking: Keep a pulse on critical content creators, influencers, and brands in the space, identifying collaboration opportunities and emerging trends.

  • Media Channel Management: Oversee the planning, creation, and distribution of content across all owned, earned, and paid media channels, including websites, blogs, social media, email, podcasts, and video platforms.

  • Editorial Calendar & Workflow: Develop and manage a structured content calendar to ensure consistent storytelling and audience engagement.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of content creators, writers, designers, and external contributors, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.

  • Performance & Analytics: Track content performance using key metrics, optimize content strategy based on data-driven insights, and report on effectiveness to senior leadership.

  • SEO & Digital Growth: Build out our SEO and growth marketing teams to ensure content is optimized for search and conversion.

  • Thought Leadership & Innovation: Stay ahead of content trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices to continuously enhance content strategy.

About you
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Proven judgement creating content people engage with and love.

  • Experience managing large scale projects, teams, and freelancers.

  • Stellar organizational skills and the ability to project manage against deadlines.

  • Natural and deep understanding of US popular culture across the decades and today, as incredible marketing is at the core of who we are.

  • Deep understanding of and interest in analytics, data, insights, and trends.

  • Deep familiarity with nutrition science, terminology, and studies.
