Key responsabilities:

Designing, developing, and deploying microservices in Kubernetes-based environments like EKS and OpenShift.

Researching COTS products for integration into Cloud applications.

Implementing and deploying solutions to meet customer requirements.

Contributing to technical writing and proposals, particularly for roles focused on proposal work.

Job description

Title: Cloud Architect
Location: Remote
12 Months Contract to Hire
Pay: $70-80/hour on w2

Description:

The Mission Networks Cloud Engineering team is looking for Software Engineers to leverage Cloud Service Providers in delivering solutions to improve customer operations and to provide information management services. The work will include tasks such as fast prototyping, researching COTS products for integration to Cloud applications, or implementing & deploying solutions to meet requirements.

Essential Functions:

•   Critical skillset of Microservices development and experience with Kubernetes.
•   Designing, developing, and deploying microservices to Kubernetes based environments such as EKS, OpenShift, etc.
•   Knowledge of microservice architectural patterns
•   Cloud environments with focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage
•   One role will be for work on a proposal.
•   Technical writing or prior experience with proposal/pursuit preferred for the proposal role.

Qualifications:

•   BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent (STEM) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
•   Hands-on experience leveraging Cloud services for application development/deployment.
•   Experience with DevOps tools and concepts, including but not limited to: Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines & automation
