Position Overview: Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Sustainability Finance. In this pivotal role, you will lead the company's efforts in integrating sustainability into financial practices and investment strategies. As a key member of the leadership team, you will ensure that financial goals align with sustainable development objectives, promoting responsible investment and driving positive environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability finance strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and sustainability goals.
  • Identify and evaluate sustainable investment opportunities, including green bonds, impact investing, and other innovative financial instruments.
  • Collaborate with finance, risk, and investment teams to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into investment decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of sustainable investments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including clients, investors, and regulatory bodies, to advocate for sustainable finance practices.
  • Stay abreast of global trends, regulations, and innovations in sustainable finance and recommend responsive strategies.
  • Lead and mentor teams in sustainability finance initiatives, fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on sustainability or impact investing.
  • Strong understanding of ESG factors and their relevance to financial performance.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing sustainability finance strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Keen understanding of global sustainability frameworks (e.g., UN Sustainable Development Goals, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures).
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for sustainability and commitment to driving positive change through finance.
