Job description

Who we are

At Fortis Games we aspire to make great games that bring people together while redefining how game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.

We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the Role

As a Staff Product Manager at Fortis, you’ll partner closely with Design and cross-functional teams to define and drive the product strategy of our in-development mobile title. Sitting at the intersection of product management and game design, you’ll lead the evolution of core systems, monetization, and live operations with a deep focus on player experience and commercial success. You will be hands-on in shaping features and systems from concept through to live operations, while influencing the broader direction of the product through data insights, market expertise, and collaborative leadership.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Drive the development and execution of features that improve player engagement, retention, and the overall commercial performance of the game.
  • Define and iterate on core game systems and monetization mechanics in close partnership with design, engineering, and analytics.
  • Write clear, actionable product specs that align cross-functional teams and enable high-quality feature delivery.
  • Design and evolve Live Ops strategies using A/B testing, segmentation, and event planning to optimize key performance metrics.
  • Use data to inform decisions—partnering with analytics to monitor KPIs, generate insights, and improve monetization and engagement.
  • Maintain a player-first approach, ensuring monetization strategies drive business value without compromising player experience.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and competitive titles, surfacing relevant insights that inform roadmap and design decisions.
  • Influence across disciplines through strong communication, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of player behavior and product performance.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • 5-7 years of product management experience in mobile games, with full lifecycle experience from concept through live operations.
  • Demonstrated success driving commercial outcomes on Top Grossing F2P mobile games.
  • Deep expertise in monetization design, game economy balancing, and live ops strategy.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with experience working closely with data teams and fluency in tools like Excel, Looker, or SQL.
  • A systems-thinking mindset with the ability to model the downstream effects of product decisions on player behavior and the game economy.
  • A player-centric approach grounded in an understanding of psychology, motivation, and behavior within games.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear product direction and influence across levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving fluidly between big-picture thinking and detail-oriented execution.
  • A collaborative, curious, and proactive mindset.
