Position Overview
The Green Tech Service Technician provides installation and repair service to customers for a select group of products sold by SiteOne within a specific region. Products include, but are not limited to, central irrigation control systems, prefabricated pump stations, satellite/controller assemblies, solar power systems, fertilizer injection, and filtration systems.
What You’ll Do
Professionally represent SiteOne and its products to end users. Provide support throughout the ownership/rental period for customers and branch associates to ensure best-in-class delivery and service.
Provide expert knowledge to all associates/customers in the proper/safe operation of the equipment, maintenance requirements, repairs, and warranty policies. Support branches by explaining the equipment program(s) and addressing any specific issues.
Communicate effectively with teammates including managers, branch associates, line of business specialists, sales team members, and customers in both verbal and written communications
Diagnose, repair, and certify products sold by the company, and provide quotes to customers for requested pairs/jobs, within area of expertise
Complete documentation on work performed, including labor and parts, and send invoices for customer service and repair jobs upon completion using the SiteOne POS system
Conduct pre-construction meetings and product demonstrations as needed
Generate sales leads and schedule and execute a weekly territory plan
May assist with unloading equipment during delivery, uncrating, complete set-up/prep for delivery or display on branch sales floors
Travel locally within your territory as needed
Skills We Are Seeking
3+ years of experience conducting field troubleshooting, repairs and/or installation. Knowledge of central control irrigation systems, gas/diesel engines, automotive or industrial equipment a plus.
Excellent communication, customer service and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
Ability to be self-motivated, self-sufficient, lay out efficient schedules and key action items in a logical sequence along with recognizing pitfalls that may delay completion timelines
Electrical Trades Center (ETC), Outdoor Power Equipment and Engine Service Association (OPEESA), Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or other Manufacturer/Technical Trade certifications are preferred, but may be substituted with equivalent relevant years of experience in similar technical/mechanical roles
