Sr. Invest Operation Associate | Acorns
Acorns is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Series 66 and 7 licensed Registered Representative to join our dynamic Investment Operations team. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of investment transactions, fostering customer trust in Acorns’ innovative investing platform. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of investment transactions and addressing investment advisor-related customer inquiries, while contributing to process improvements and issue resolution.
This role has the option to be remote or based in our Irvine, CA, or New York, NY offices.
What you will do at Acorns:
Manage the full lifecycle of investment-related customer support, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
Support age of transfer requests, incoming and outgoing rollovers, and funding source changes.
Handle specialized processes including levies, wire payments, court orders, deceased accounts, and ACH disputes.
Execute individual trade orders and assist in unsuccessful ACH payment resolution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Product teams) to support ongoing operations and initiatives.
Coordinate with our IRA custodian to support audits, reconciliations, withholding, and rollover activities.
Monitor and respond to operational incidents, escalating and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Review and support the accuracy of customer 1099 forms before release.
Maintain and enhance email macros and SOPs to improve team efficiency and customer experience.
Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, or automate internal processes while ensuring compliance with regulations.
What you will bring to Acorns:
FINRA SIE, Series 66, 7 license or will obtain in 6 months from being hired
3-5 years of investment, banking or financial operations experience
Detail-oriented and the ability to consistently execute on assigned tasks effectively with a high degree of excellence
Customer-focused and a passion for speaking to customers, answering queries, and solving complex issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
Ability to identify and escalate priority issues
You are flexible with your working hours. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays

Compensation Information:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $72,500 and $85,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
