Job description

Project Manager – Continuous Improvement – Store Operations

Job Summary

The Project Manager – Continuous Improvement will lead specific projects associated with driving store operations efficiency. The Project Manager shall construct cross functional teams to determine the most effective path forward, by applying step by step process mapping techniques, and mapping key dependencies, risks and synergies. This role shall lead project teams and deliver defined business outcomes with measurable P&L improvement. This position will manage a project budget for design, pilot, and implementation and provide financial reporting metrics to ensure success to budgeted improvement. This position will need to influence senior leadership and field teams to provide improvements and change management to store processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops project business cases to appropriately prioritize and deliver on organizational objectives.
  • Lead and oversee projects related to process excellence, process redesign, automation, and optimization by leveraging project management methodologies to monitor, track, and deliver expected project related outcomes.
  • Design project charter, key milestones, expectations and accountabilities.
  • Work cross functionally to ascertain project team requirements.
  • Set expectations and drive accountability to key deliverables.
  • Follow a consistent and methodical project path in conjunction with the Operating Model team.
  • Set key performance metrics.
  • Monitor and against key performance metrics.
  • Propose recommendations for project adoption, introduction into Blueprint operating model.
  • Lead Proof of Concepts.
  • Analyze opportunities for improvement from proof-of-concept work.
  • Test hypothesis through proof-of-concept work.

Qualifications

  • Trained in six sigma process methodologies; including the five steps of DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control).
  • Lean six sigma certification.
  • 2+ years of multi-site store operations process experience preferred.
  • Experienced in Project Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
