The Associate Director of Project Management - Execution leads the team of Senior Clinical Project Managers and their portfolio of projects delivering mobile clinical research services. The team receives finalized project documents and processes from the Project Start-up team and is responsible in the execution of the projects’ success.  This role is also responsible for the training, coaching and oversight of the assigned team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Four or more years of experience in the clinical research industry or equivalent.
  • Four or more years of experience in project management.
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products. 
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability

  • Responsible for the company’s delivery of high-quality projects to external clients while maintaining control of scope and costs as contracted.
  • Reviews incoming finalized project materials with the Project Start-Up Team to transition these projects to the Project Execution Team.
  • Assigns the appropriate resources including Clinical Project Manager and Clinical Project Coordinator to each project.
  • Assists Project Execution team members in project delivery as needed for novel or complex scope. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for team guidance and support throughout the execution phase.
  • Secondary point of escalation for client support while the project is within the execution phase.
  • Escalates issues or concerns to the VP GCO as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with other PCM Trials leaders to ensure quality, responsiveness, and continued growth.
  • Proactively strategizes for growth, allocates resources, monitors performance, and provides guidance through objective metrics and routine communication. Project Execution Document Library Owner – Approves, maintains, and improves the comprehensive collection of project execution materials for the company. Creates and contributes to strategic improvements. Delegates to the Project Execution team as needed. Contributor to Quality - Contributes to continuous improvement of all processes, Job Aids and SOPs. Acts as company SME for on-demand requests.  Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

   

The typical base pay range for this role is USD $131,300 - $218,900 per year.

Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, skills and other market-based factors.
