Role Responsibilities

If so, the ministry of Technology and Innovation has the perfect opportunity for you in our Content & Collaboration Services (CSS) Systems Analyst role. 

Reporting to the Team Lead, Collaboration and Content Services, this position is responsible for consistent delivery of services provided by the Collaboration & Content Services team. The role supports service-related work including new development and configuration; system/application maintenance and support; multiple projects support; technical consultation/expertise; Electronic Information Management (EIM) expertise; maintaining customer relationships; and ensuring compliance with GoA standards/policies/practices/etc.

By leveraging these digital accelerator services, partners (both technical and business led) are able to spin up advanced & powerful solutions with incredible speed, precision, and confidence, all in a well-supported environment. The role is partly responsible for ensuring critical and vital records needed to protect the lives of Albertans are available 24/7 for accountable platforms

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Develop, enhance, maintain, and bug fix applications and databases used to support services while ensuring quality and integrity of delivery.
  • Participate in system analysis and requirements consultation ensuring requirements are well understood; documented; and adhere to GoA standards/policies/practices/etc.
  • Participate in systems design, enhancements, and maintenance to ensure the GoA meets industry best practices and follows all GoA standards, policies and practices.
  • Provide input on system architecture, maintenance, system configuration, and system support of EIM systems as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • University degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology. 
  • 2 years of related experience in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of EIM (Electronic Information Management).
  • Experience in software development. 



Equivalencies:

  • A related two-year diploma in related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and four (4) years related experience; or
  • A related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five (5) years related experience.



Assets: 
Preferred technical skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 10.x server administration.
  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 10.x Web Services, workflow development and LAPI development.
  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 10.x extensions including:
    • Extended ECM, Spider, XML Workflow, Electronic Signatures, Active view, Object Importer, Content Intelligence, WebReports, CLM Services For Sharepoint, Blazon, and Brava! 
  • Knowledge of Oracle UCM and associated extensions.
  • Knowledge of Documentum and associated extensions.
  • Knowledge of Kofax Capture Server administration and development.
  • Knowledge of Adlib Server administration.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL 2016, and MSSQL 2016 Server Utilities.
  • Adherence to programming principles, techniques, practices, logic and database design.
  • Adherence to application design and change management procedures.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 – Operating System, Microsoft Office software, and Open Text Livelink. 
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2016 including security configuration, security configuration and IIS configuration.
  • Detailed knowledge of data and its relationships so that appropriate database scans for adhoc queries by clients and management can be generated.
  • Ability to develop and debug code in HTML, HTML5, VBA Script and JavaScript.
  • Ability to develop and modify code in PowerShell and Batch files.
  • Ability to develop and debug code in C# (.NET 4 or later), VB Script and MS SQL (2008 and later) may be required.
  • Ability to develop and modify Cascading Style Sheets may be required (CSS).
  • Ability to develop in ASP.NET using the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture with Entity Framework may be required.
