Job description

Position Details: Full-time, 6-month Fixed Term (Existing Vacancy)
Salary Range: Salary range at $54,300 - $67,900, based on a 35-hour work week.
Location: Remote within Canada
Closing Deadline: May 14, 2025 (11:59PM EDT)

The Marketing Data Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and usability of Ducks Unlimited Canada’s marketing and constituent data. Reporting to the Manager of Database Marketing & Analytics, the MDA ensures that our CRM and marketing databases support strategic decision-making, audience engagement, and high-quality data governance. As a trusted steward of constituent data, they will help shape and enforce best practices to improve data quality and optimize CRM workflows, working to maximize CRM platform usability and data quality. The Marketing Data Analyst also plays an integral part in managing and targeting priority audiences, staying abreast of developments and leveraging all available tools.

What You Will Do

As a Marketing Data Analyst, the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading duplicate record management and data hygiene efforts, ensuring consistency and accuracy in constituent records. 
  • Performing regular audits and systematic cleanups to enhance data quality. 
  • Maintaining and enforcing data governance policies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and best practices. 
  • Providing Salesforce administration support, including data structuring, workflows, record types, permissions, and reports. 
  • Assisting in troubleshooting data issues and developing solutions for efficient data management. 
  • Monitoring and improving data flows from integrated platforms, ensuring seamless information transfer. 
  • Supporting internal teams with audience segmentation and targeting for marketing initiatives. 
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their information and data needs, and developing and maintaining insightful dashboards and reports, ensuring they have access to meaningful, actionable data. 
  • Generating and refining reports that help teams access and interpret key data insights. 
  • Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive data maintenance tasks. 
  • Developing training materials and documentation to support internal CRM users. 
  • Keeping up to date with CRM and marketing database updates, advising on best practices. 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data management, CRM administration, or a related field.
  • College diploma or equivalent experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and knowledge of data management, business, or marketing is an asset.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to detect and correct inconsistencies in data. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or data manipulation tools. 
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage repetitive tasks with precision. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document processes and support users.
