Responsibilities
Analyze and maintain standard costs for materials and goods.
Maintain intercompany transfer inventory files.
Maintain sales price book files for contract and ad-hoc invoicing.
Monitor product gross margins and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Track inventory levels (raw/finished and BOM inventories) and report on material, labor, and overhead variances.
Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to monitor inventory levels, forecast needs, and manage aging inventory.
Collaborate with operations to optimize inventory management, including repair and rework inventories.
Prepare month-end journal entries and ensure accurate cost reporting.
Manage monthly inventory accounting, adjustments, and reconciliations.
Coordinate annual inventory counts with external auditors.
Prepare audit schedules for year-end audits.
Generate ad-hoc reports on COGS and inventory as needed.
Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate cost projections.
Serve as the main contact for inventory-related matters with operations.
Qualifications
BS in Accounting or Finance; a CPA is a plus; MBA a plus.
Experience with multilocation inventory
Experience with intercompany inventory
Experience with BOM costing
Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS 15/16
Strong systems knowledge that includes advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
Experience with a mid to large ERP system, Great Plains, TM1, and SAP Business Objects preferred
Experience with financial reporting to parent company preferred
Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Must be eligible to work in the U.S
5+ years of progressive experience working in accounting/finance
