We're looking for a Marketing Manager for the company Chessed.me.
Chessed.me helps children build focus, confidence, and critical thinking through chess. They make it accessible by connecting families with professional chess tutors for structured, one-on-one online lessons.
Founded in 2024, the company grown fast — delivering 7,000+ online lessons, generating $200K+ in annualised sales, and scaling 10x year-over-year. Backed by mentors from Google, Facebook, and Preply, they are now looking for someone who’s hungry to own growth, shape our brand, and scale impact.
Who we’re looking for
You’re a hands-on growth marketer with a track record of real results, not just agency decks. You’ve scaled paid traffic from scratch and know how to run a lean growth engine.
You’ll Thrive If You
Have deep expertise in Meta/Facebook performance channel and are ready to expand into others
Have scaled early-stage ad budgets (e.g. £50/day → £1K+/day)
Know how to write briefs, test hooks, and run creative production
Think in funnels, LTV:CAC, and conversion rates, not just CTRs
Have experience managing freelancers or a small team (2–3 people) — and want to grow that skill further
Love getting your hands dirty — landing pages, automation flows, onboarding emails
Have experience in B2C services, EdTech, or UK/US consumer markets
Are commercially curious — always suggesting improvements beyond your domain
Are a structured thinker and creative doer — you balance big ideas with rigorous testing
What you’ll work on
You’ll be in the driver’s seat of our growth engine. That includes:
Performance Marketing: Run, optimise, and scale Meta campaigns; test into Google, YouTube, referrals, and partnerships
Funnel & CRO: Build quizzes and landing pages, track conversions, and run experiments
Analytics & Budgeting: Own LTV:CAC tracking and reporting; plan and allocate monthly budgets
Creative Production: Brief, test, and iterate creative (copy + video); contribute to messaging, tone, and positioning
Team Building: As we scale, hire and lead specialists (media buying, design, content)
Collaboration: Work closely with customer service and product to ensure growth is sustainable and scalable
What Makes You a Great Fit
2+ years hands-on growth marketing experience (startup preferred)
Proven ability to scale Meta/Facebook ads from scratch
Experience with early-stage growth: £50/day budgets, not big-budget agency spend
You’ve shipped funnels, landing pages, email flows, and growth experiments
Comfortable using Looker Studio, Figma, Hotjar, spreadsheets, and dashboards
You’re proactive, resourceful, and not afraid to test boldly
Fluent in English (C1 or above)
Bonus points if you’ve worked in education, tutoring, EdTech, or a fast-scaling startup — or if you love chess (or learning it!)
