Job description

Join our dynamic finance team as the Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable and Collections, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Revenue. This critical role focuses on partnering with our sales organization to optimize our company-wide collections processes, reduce days sales outstanding (DSO), and maintain strong customer relationships. What You’ll Do:

  •  Develop and implement effective collections strategies to reduce DSO and minimize outstanding balances.

  • Manage escalated customer inquiries or billing disputes, ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Prepare and analyze regular reports on collection activity, at-risk accounts and accounts receivable aging, partnering with the accounting team on the monthly reserve process.

  • Collaborate with the Sales organization on collection inquiries and effective customer receivable reporting.

  • Develop and document policies and procedures for credit and collections, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

  • Manage hiring, training, and performance assessment of the collections team.

  • Drive automation initiatives in cash applications and collections processes.

  • Partner with order-to-cash teams to identify and rectify inefficiencies impacting accounts receivable.

  • Ensure adherence to SOX controls and implement compensating controls as needed. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field.

  • 8+ years of experience in collections strategy, accounts receivable, and collections management.

  • Experience managing and developing a team with an ability to set clear expectations and track results to drive accountability.

  • Experience managing customer relationships and resolving complex billing disputes.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with relevant software such as Salesforce CPQ, Billing, Stripe and Workday Financials is a plus.

  • Experience with recurring subscription/SaaS or usage-based software billing models is a plus.

  • Experience with AR automation tools and ERP systems is a plus.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is between $103,400 CAD - $155,200 CAD. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
