Ever fancied a profession where work molds around your life, no matter where in the globe you are? Welcome to Safeguard Global! We're all about making work fit into your world, wherever that may be.

About Us:

At Safeguard Global, we're not your average company. Sure, we handle global solutions for over 1500+ clients across 170+ countries, but what really makes us tick is giving you and 2000+ Guardians the freedom to work in a way that suits your style, no matter the time zone in over 50+ countries.

Our Work in Any Way approach means you can call your couch your office or a café halfway across the world your boardroom, all while still having room to do school runs and essential errands throughout your working day. 🤩

How you will make a difference:

You will provide expert HR advice on French employment law to a diverse range of Global Employment Outsourcing (GEO) clients and workers. You'll draw on your deep legal knowledge to navigate complex workplace issues, manage high-stakes litigation, and lead negotiations with external legal counsel. Your expertise will be key in helping global businesses make informed, strategic decisions in line with France’s employment regulations.

  • Lead complex employment litigations and guide clients toward effective resolutions.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all HR matters across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding for GEO workers in collaboration with the Operations team.
  • Drive the delivery of HR processes; handbooks, policies, and procedures - with full legal compliance.
  • Draft and manage compliant employment contracts (starters, leavers, transfers, extensions).
  • Handle sensitive HR matters including performance, terminations, and employment transfers.
  • Advise clients on career progression, promotions, and salary benchmarks.
  • Oversee offboarding processes, including retirements and voluntary/involuntary exits.
  • Support and coach management on HR responsibilities and best practices.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Safeguard personal employee data in accordance with local legislation.
  • Contribute to cross-functional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Identify process gaps and lead improvements to mitigate HR related risks.
  • Keep teams informed on changes in French employment law and implications for the business.
  • Partner with internal teams to provide strategic HR insights.
  • Work with benefits providers to offer compliant packages and update cost forecasts.
  • Manage monthly payroll with local partners, ensuring accuracy and legal adherence.

What will give you an advantage:

  • Expertise in French Labor Law, with the confidence to act as the subject matter expert on all things employment related in France.
  • Proven HR experience, especially in navigating complex employment terminations—including individual exits, collective redundancies, mutual agreements and litigation.
  • Experience in employment relations, with a strong track record of advising on sensitive and complicated workplace issues.
  • Fluency in both French and English - essential for working across global teams and clients (verbal and written).
  • Background in consultancy or portage is a plus, though not required.
  • Skilled in analysing and solving problems, with a proactive mindset and a sharp eye for risk and resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and influence.
  • Highly organised and results-driven, capable of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines with precision.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to interact effectively with employees and leaders at every level.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll, expense management, employment contracts, and compliance with legal requirements including occupational medicine and life insurance.
  • Exposure to skills development, HR planning, and effective sickness management strategies.
  • Passion for being the go-to expert on French HR legislation, ready to guide others with clarity and confidence.
