In this role you will

  • Lead and mentor a team of content creators, including writers, researchers, and project managers, with a view toward scaling the team as our content needs grow
  • Develop and execute content strategies across all product lines to provide both practical guidance and emotional support to users
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, impactful content across multiple formats (short- and longform text, video, audio, checklists) that directly supports our users through difficult times
  • Implement measurement frameworks to track content performance and continuously optimize for impact and user engagement
  • Manage localization and translation processes to expand our content’s reach into new markets
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Research teams to ensure that content aligns with user needs and business goals
  • Lead the integration of AI tools for content research, creation, and editing while maintaining Empathy's authentic voice and high standards
  • Set and maintain content quality standards, style guidelines, and tone of voice across all product touchpoints

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content leadership roles, with a background in product content, marketing, editorial, or growth
  • Native English proficiency
  • Proven track record of building and managing high-performing content teams
  • Strong understanding of content measurement and optimization techniques with a focus on driving user impact
  • Experience with content creation across multiple formats (written, audio, video)
  • Exceptional editing skills with meticulous attention to tone, style, and emotional nuance
  • Experience in content localization and translation management
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and research
  • Proficiency with mobile app ecosystems and digital product development
  • Strong project management skills and experience with relevant tools
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep empathy and sensitivity in addressing challenging life topics

Preferred

  • Experience creating content in the healthcare, wellness, or emotional support domains
  • Background developing content for complex or technical subjects for general audiences
  • Experience integrating content within product development workflows
  • Understanding of UX writing principles and best practices
