Job description

Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Legal Assistant who will be responsible for initiating and maintaining the first legal processes necessary for recovering funds on delinquent loan contracts. This position will interface with the legal team, past-due borrowers, and other relevant entities to commence and transition consumers through the legal process.

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

Essential Functions

  • Locate delinquent borrowers using skip tracing methods such as credit bureau information, background checks, loan documents, and other relevant paperwork or databases
  • Optimize collections by tracking and interfacing with the legal team through email, text, phone, and other relevant channels
  • Manage and keep current the database of past-due borrowers regarding amounts owed, employment status, contact information, and other relevant data
  • Initiate small claims case files with the necessary paperwork through the Idaho Fourth District Court Ada County electronic filing platform
  • Manage accepted small claims filings and interface with the legal team and relevant entities to submit formal process service requests
  • Monitor and maintain process service status to ensure service is effective and timely, and in accordance with Idaho laws

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the related field
  • A legal administrative background would be helpful
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and can adhere to deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills (friendly, courteous, proactive, and helpful)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with others
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and use it to develop solutions to problems
