IT Systems Administrator (Mid-Senior Level)

What you are accountable for: 

The IT Systems Administrator is an integral part of the IT/Operations department that requires a commitment to customer service through quality, courtesy, technical expertise, and teamwork. You will be accountable for ensuring the security, stability, and efficiency of our IT environment while aligning with industry security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and GDPR compliance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting our IT infrastructure, enforcing security policies, and driving operational excellence. 

What you are responsible for: 

• Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Okta environments. 

• Implement and enforce security best practices in alignment with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and GDPR compliance. 

• Administer and maintain identity and access management (IAM) using Okta and Azure AD. 

• Oversee security configurations, zero-trust architecture, and endpoint management. 

• Support incident response, vulnerability assessments, and remediation plans. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT security aligns with business needs. 

• Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and resilience. 

• Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting. 

• Lead IT projects, including migrations, integrations, and automation initiatives. 

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and SOPs. 

• Lead and line manage a team.

Experience  

• 5+ years of experience in IT administration with a focus on Azure, M365, and Okta. 

• 2+ years of experience in managing and supervising the work of other people 

• 5+ years of managing of identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO). 

• 5+ years of experience implementing and managing IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and GDPR compliance).  

• 5+ years experience with Intune, Conditional Access Policies, and Endpoint Security. 

• 5+ years experience with security operations, SIEM solutions, or SOC processes.
