The Business Development Manager – Rotary Kiln Products (RKS) is responsible for driving RKS sales and growth in the Americas, with a primary focus on the U.S. and Canada. This role requires developing clear market plans and value propositions, building product and application knowledge within the region, and positioning Freudenberg Flow Technologies (FFL) as a recognized player in the RKS market. The role also involves leveraging the existing EagleBurgmann, a member of FFL, sales force for defined customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue global leads and opportunities for Rotary Kiln Seal (RKS) products using the C4C CRM system.
  • Develop and implement annual sales plans for RKS in North America, with potential growth into Latin America, aligning with the Static Sealing Solution business strategy.
  • Conduct customer visits to manage technical and commercial discussions from initial opportunity through to order placement.
  • Lead RKS projects in North America, ensuring coordination with internal teams and meeting customer requirements.
  • Perform plant inspections and troubleshooting in collaboration with Central RKS Technical Sales Support/Engineering to provide effective solutions.
  • Promote RKS expertise across the Americas through internal training and joint visits with Expansion Joint or Mechanical Seal teams.
  • Prepare tailored technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with Central Technical Sales Support/Engineering; manage inquiries and ensure order compliance.
  • Represent the company at industry events, balance field/office responsibilities, support product development, resolve complaints, track receivables, and assist with marketing and other product lines as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in outside sales and service.
  • 5+ years of experience with sealing solutions and/or expansion joints for rotating equipment.
  • 3+ years of technical project management and onsite work experience.
  • Knowledge of expansion joints, packing, and gasket solutions.
  • Sales or sales engineering background, ideally in the refinery or chemical industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong knowledge of SAP and CRM systems.
  • Fluent in English, with strong technical communication, decision-making, and flexibility in working hours.
