We are actively seeking a Product Attorney with direct experience providing counsel on Compliance & Regulatory Focus activities. This is a full-time remote opportunity is with our well known corporate client!

We are actively seeking a Product Attorney located anywhere in the US with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience focused on regulatory compliance, privacy law, and product governance.
  • Substantive experience in privacy and data protection regulatory matters.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA).
  • Experience with The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in the tech industry with a focus on compliance, regulatory, and privacy matters, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced innovative environment requiring need to pivot quickly in response to changing workflows or deadlines.
  • JD Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you currently reside.
  • Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.

Support Our Corporate Client On The Following

  • Interpret, apply, and advise on privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, COPPA) impacting products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement regulatory compliance and data protection standards in product design and deployment.
  • Provide legal guidance on data collection, usage, storage, and security practices to ensure product privacy by design.
  • Support efforts to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices around product development and regulatory adherence.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with new products and features, balancing regulatory requirements with business needs.
