Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Role (3-month engagement, with potential to extend)

Trissential is hiring a CAD Consultant to join our client’s team and lead high-impact projects from concept to completion. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive advanced SolidWorks design projects from concept through final detailing, including assemblies and BOM creation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate engineering ideas into manufacturable products
  • Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Lead and support documentation efforts, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing
  • Recommend and implement CAD best practices to improve efficiency and consistency across design teams

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 10+ years of hands-on SolidWorks experience in a professional CAD or mechanical engineering role
  • Deep understanding of 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, tolerancing, and configuration management
  • Expertise in mechanical systems design, especially related to manufacturing or industrial components
  • Solid grasp of material properties, fabrication methods, and mechanical functionality
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Bonus Points If You Have

  • SolidWorks certifications such as CSWP or CSWE
  • Experience working with PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM or Windchill)
  • Background in industrial automation, machine design, or consumer product development
  • Prior consulting experience or exposure to multiple design environments

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a closely related discipline
  • Equivalent work experience considered in place of a degree for exceptional candidates
