Lead and support documentation efforts, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing
Recommend and implement CAD best practices to improve efficiency and consistency across design teams
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
10+ years of hands-on SolidWorks experience in a professional CAD or mechanical engineering role
Deep understanding of 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, tolerancing, and configuration management
Expertise in mechanical systems design, especially related to manufacturing or industrial components
Solid grasp of material properties, fabrication methods, and mechanical functionality
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Bonus Points If You Have
SolidWorks certifications such as CSWP or CSWE
Experience working with PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM or Windchill)
Background in industrial automation, machine design, or consumer product development
Prior consulting experience or exposure to multiple design environments
Education & Certifications You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a closely related discipline
Equivalent work experience considered in place of a degree for exceptional candidates
