Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and Business Transformation

Location: Tampa, FL (Remote considered for highly qualified candidates)

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Operations

Position Summary

The Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and Business Transformation will play a key leadership role in driving high-impact projects that enhance operational performance, streamline processes, and support long-term business objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring transformation initiatives deliver measurable value.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Design and execute strategic programs that fuel business growth and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead transformation efforts from initial concept through full implementation, ensuring seamless adoption across teams.
  • Serve as a key liaison between leadership and operational teams, ensuring clear communication and aligned execution of company goals.

Operational Optimization & Transformation

  • Evaluate and improve current business processes to increase efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate across departments—including operations, finance, IT, and HR—to implement innovative, scalable practices.
  • Use data and insights to guide decision-making and drive ongoing improvements.

Project & Change Management

  • Manage a portfolio of high-impact projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with business objectives.
  • Create frameworks, tools, and systems that support long-term transformation success.
  • Lead change management efforts to cultivate a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Partner with stakeholders across all levels to build alignment and secure buy-in for strategic initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate goals, progress, and impacts of transformation efforts to leadership and team members.
  • Facilitate training, workshops, and regular updates to keep teams engaged and informed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in business transformation, strategy execution, or operational leadership in a high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of leading successful transformation initiatives with tangible business results.
  • Deep knowledge of process improvement and project management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or rapidly scaling companies is a strong advantage.
