Our Payroll Advisory and Operations team comprises experienced payroll professionals. We offer services to support workforce transformation, transition and regulation, and enable organisations to realise the potential of their people. We help employers build trust by ensuring they are paying their people correctly, pursuant to applicable industrial instruments.
As part of the wider Workforce team, strategic thinking, innovation, technical excellence, and accuracy is at the heart of everything we do. Our practice is organised to ensure the advice we provide is not just technically correct but strategically relevant, and always capable of being successfully implemented. We deliver payroll solutions, blending technical skills and strategy to advise top ASX organisations, not-for-profit companies, and private clients with spectacular results.
About the Role
Our team is expanding and we are looking for a Director to lead our provision of payroll advice (remediation or transformation, including project management and controls) to large corporate employers.
Use the know-how and experience you've gained in payroll, workforce management or HR technology in either an operational setting or in a professional service environment. With new problems to solve, you'll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow. We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout. You'll learn plenty as you build lasting relationships as a trusted advisor using your strong client mindset across work which spans remediation, transformation, delivery and implementation, in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.
You will help solve complex problems by using your skills in:
Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
Extensive experience in workforce management and/or payroll in an advisory or operational role
Display strong attention to detail
Data and analytical skills; qualitative and quantitative
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships
Ability to work on multiple engagements at the same time
Good written and verbal communication skills
Display coach and mentoring abilities
Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
In our team, your impact will be seen by:
Analysing relevant client data (quantitative and qualitative) to draw out actionable insights
Providing assistance to clients with regulatory reviews, investigations, disclosures, payroll remediation payments and/or refund requests
Performing operating model reviews to identify areas for clients to improve their rostering through to payment practices
Supporting client transformation programs spanning workforce management and payroll, including technology implementations, process redesign, and organisational change
Leading research on emerging workforce and payroll trends and issues to frame business development activities or thought-leadership pieces
Project management of client engagements, including progress reporting, regular client meetings and ensuring compliance with internal risk and quality requirements
Leading client deliverables, including developing recommendations, writing reports, and preparing presentations
Building relationships with our clients, identifying needs and opportunities
Delivering pitches and proposals for clients, reflecting an understanding of payroll needs, Future of Work and workforce issues and trends
Coaching and mentoring a team of professionals
