Job description

Simpluris is seeking a highly detail-oriented Proposal and Data Quality Specialist to support the Business Development Team. Simpluris performs administration for many class-action legal cases across the United States. This role is a contract positions and will support the CRO and his Business Development team in producing multiple proposals every day, and ensuring addresses and emails in the database are accurate and reliable.

This role involves analytical and mathematical acumen, as well as an ability to perform some repetitive tasks. It requires a strong command of the English language, intermediate Excel skills, and a disciplined and methodical approach to maintaining data.

Requirements

Proposal Specialist Duties:

Proposal Preparation
Support the Business Development team with preparing bids and bid revisions
Comprehend the ‘Whys and Hows’ of different types of administrative proposals
Utilize spreadsheet applications to calculate subtotals and grand totals
Apply mathematical oversight to ensure numbers appear correct
CRM & Email Management
Monitor Leader’s email inbox and identify emails requiring follow-up or action
Enter and update bid records in Salesforce
Link Contacts to Opportunities and log related communications
Maintain and update client information
Perform additional admin tasks as assigned

Data Quality Duties:

Execute precise and repeatable data-cleaning procedures, following established rules for merging, modifying, and realigning data sets.
Conduct daily online research to verify and enrich data, requiring thoroughness and reliability in reviewing source materials.
Maintain strict adherence to spelling and formatting accuracy, especially when entering names or modifying data fields.
Apply moderate Excel skills, including using functions such as XLOOKUP, IF, and CONCAT, and navigate spreadsheets efficiently.
Organize and manage digital file structures to ensure historical traceability and audit-readiness of data files.
Work within a CRM environment with a foundational understanding of how Accounts, Contacts, and related records are structured.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members to clarify data policies and coordinate data improvement tasks.
Demonstrate a consistent attention to detail and the ability to self-audit work for accuracy and completeness.

Skills & Qualifications

Mathematical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to calculate and verify subtotals, grand totals, and perform logic checks to ensure numerical accuracy in documents and proposals.
Analytical Thinking: Uses sound judgment to review and validate quantitative data, identifying errors or inconsistencies before submission.
Microsoft Excel & Word Proficiency: At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Excel (including XLOOKUP, IF, CONCAT, and pivoting between multiple sheets) and Word (including formatting, document structuring, and version control).
Proposal Writing Experience: Familiarity with drafting or revising formal business proposals or bid documents, including applying business rules and numerical validations.
CRM Experience: Understanding of Salesforce or similar CRM systems, with the ability to manage Opportunities, Contacts, and Accounts logically and efficiently.
Extreme Attention to Detail: High level of precision in both data entry and document preparation — especially when handling names, addresses, and financial figures.
Organizational Discipline: Proven ability to manage folders, track revisions, and maintain structured, retrievable digital records.
Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders regarding data updates, clarifications, and proposal revisions.
Internet Research Competence: Skilled in verifying company and contact information using online resources with accuracy and consistency.
