Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and execution-focused Sr. Principal, Corporate Communications professional to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will lead and drive executive level strategic communications initiatives in support of Alteryx’s Go-to-Market (GTM) functions at the, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional leaders to shape internal and external narratives, enhance employee engagement, and ensure message alignment across audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Communications:
    Serve as a trusted advisor and writer for Senior level/executives GTM leaders, crafting compelling presentations, emails, talking points, blogs, and other content for internal and external use.
  • Strategic Communications:
    Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that support GTM objectives, elevate Alteryx’s brand, and drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Internal Communications:
    Partner with People and GTM leadership to design and manage communication cadences, including All-Hands, department updates, announcements, and change management efforts.
  • Media & Analyst Engagement:
    Support earned media efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing spokespeople, and shaping narratives that resonate with customers, partners, and the broader market.
  • Message Development:
    Collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand, and Customer Marketing to align GTM messaging across campaigns, launches, and events.
  • Issues Management:
    Help anticipate, plan for, and manage sensitive or high-impact communications with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of GTM functions and experience supporting Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success teams in a B2B software environment
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and deliver high-quality strategic communications in B2B software market
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen attention to tone, clarity, and audience.
  • Experience navigating complex organizations and working cross-functionally with diverse teams.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications
  • Compensation $216,000- $250,000
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a publicly traded company or with investor/stakeholder communications.
  • Familiarity with analytics, data science, or enterprise software markets.
  • Strong media relationships and/or experience working with PR agencies.
