Job description

GT was founded in 2019 by a former Apple, Nest, and Google executive. GT’s mission is to connect the world’s best talent with product careers offered by high-growth companies in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.

On behalf of VPod, GT is looking for a Technical Project Manager interested in the solutions implementation domain.

About the Client & the Project

VPod is a leading provider of smart workplace solutions, specializing in visitor management systems (VGRIP) and smart locker technology. Their products are transforming how companies manage space, security, and employee experience across large, distributed workforces.

About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a nationwide smart locker rollout across more than 100 U.S. locations for one of the world's most influential technology companies.

This role is hands-on and client-facing, involving coordination of large-scale hardware deployments, vendor management, and close collaboration with technical and operational teams.

This position blends structured project management, technical onboarding, professional services support, and second-line escalation. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments and has experience managing enterprise deployments with physical components.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the full deployment lifecycle for a high-profile smart locker rollout across 100+ U.S. locations.

  • Run regular client-facing calls, provide structured updates, and drive project accountability across all stakeholders.

  • Serve as the coordination hub for 3rd-party installation vendors, internal teams, and on-site client contacts.

  • Maintain and enforce detailed deployment checklists, status trackers, and approval gates.

  • Proactively manage timelines, risks, and deliverables to keep the rollout on time and within scope.

  • Translate complex client requirements into realistic, executable plans — and confidently push back when necessary.

  • Collaborate with engineering, support, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, escalate blockers, and ensure smooth installations.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
  • 5+ years in project management, deployment leadership, or implementation roles — ideally in a technical or hybrid (hardware/software) environment.

  • Hands-on experience leading multi-site rollouts, particularly those involving physical hardware deployments and on-site vendor coordination.

  • Skilled in managing external contractors, maintaining rollout schedules, and balancing the demands of enterprise clients.

  • Comfortable preparing and reviewing technical documentation and sign-off procedures.

  • Good grasp of networking fundamentals and cloud-based infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with IoT or smart device ecosystems is a strong advantage.

Must-have
  • Partial availability to work during Pacific Time (PST) hours; 9 am - 2 pm PST

Nice-to-have
  • Prior experience with Smart lockers, visitor management systems, or IT asset management tools
