Payroll controller

Description

VAST Data is looking for a Payroll Controller to join our growing team. This position is based in Tel-Aviv and is reporting to the Global Payroll Controller.

The Payroll Controller will join our growing payroll team and will support both IL and global Payroll operation in Israel and International territories.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

• Work closely with our Global Payroll Controller to leverage operational process to Design, implement, and manage a scalable global model for payroll operations and administration.
• Support the payroll process in IL and be accountable for all aspects, including but not limited to on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, support and working with pensions insurance providers, leave of absence and vacation balance management, military service claims and any ad-hoc tasks.
• Support the end-to-end monthly payroll process for Israeli employees.
• Assist with global payroll calculations and coordination with our outsourcing vendors and Contractors.
• Prepare and support the monthly payroll process, including preparation of the monthly payroll information, approval of the monthly pay slips, reconciliation, preparation and posting of the monthly payroll entry in NetSuite.
• Ensure all payments to employees and payroll related institutions are made on time and accurately.
• Month-end Support - prepare and review the monthly payroll expenses, ensure completeness and accuracy of data and prepare an analytical report.
• Ensure payroll compliance with company policy, with local tax legislation and on-time reporting and payments to local Social Security and Tax authorities.
• Serving as the main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert for payroll-related matters in IL and employees’ related inquiries.
• Provide administrative support and assist in payroll process improvements.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all payroll and financial data.

Requirements

What We’re Looking for

• Certified Payroll Accountant in Israel – mandatory.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Payroll IL and related processes in complex, rapidly and hyper-growth Global International Tech Companies.
• Experience in processing payroll and working with HRIS modules and Hashavim.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor legislation in Israel.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and execute multi-tasks and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Must have the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels/functions throughout the company to deliver timely and high-quality work product.
•  A problem-solver with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions proactively. Experience with executing automation projects and integrations to streamline the payroll process
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, service-oriented
• Ability to work and solve problems independently and to use experience and critical thinking to identify issues that require escalation.

Bonus Points

• Experience working with NetSuite and Hashavim
• Proficient in English at a high level (both spoken and written)
• Experience at medium-big tech companies (more than 300 employees)
