Key responsibilities:

  • Update CATIA drawings and perform structural adjustments using CAE software.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design alignment and continuous process improvement.

Job Description

Main responsibilities include:

  • Gestion de la conformité aux réglementations européennes (REACH, ELV, SCIP) en collectant, évaluant et administrant les données IMDS/MSDS. Coordination avec les fournisseurs pour l'élimination des substances réglementées.
  • Surveillance du processus d'autorisation des substances restreintes et mise en œuvre de leur suppression via enquêtes et plans d’action.
  • Mise à jour des dessins CATIA selon les instructions fournies.
  • Réalisation d'ajustements structurels CAE à l’aide des logiciels définis par le client.
  • Travail en étroite collaboration avec les équipes d’ingénierie et de fabrication pour garantir l’alignement des conceptions, la conformité qualité et l’amélioration continue des processus.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of EU regulations (REACH, ELV, SCIP) and company policies, ensuring material and component compliance.
  • Expertise in assessing chemical substances, their impact, and potential alternatives, along with material assessment to eliminate regulated substances.
  • Proficient in analyzing IMDS/MSDS data, conducting impact analyses, and monitoring substance authorization.
  • Experienced in conducting supplier surveys, evaluating chemical management processes, and ensuring timely communication and responses.
  • Skilled in CATIA for drawing updates and modifications, with CAE expertise to adjust and analyze structural components.
  • Perform structural modifications using ANSA for modeling and the Abaqus solver for simulations, ensuring durability and performance validation.
  • Analyze and interpret simulation results using META (from BETA Group) to assess structural integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to develop and implement action plans to eliminate regulated substances, continuously improving workflows and adapting to new tools.
  • Committed to maintaining accuracy in regulatory documentation, design updates, and supplier evaluations while upholding high engineering and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in both English and French communication is required.
