What you will be doing in the role of a Could Systems Administrator
The Cloud Systems Administrator, Platform & Engineering is a member of the IT Infrastructure team within the Platform & Engineering Department. The Cloud Systems Administrator will develop, maintain, and troubleshoot the network connections of new cloud computing resources. The Cloud Systems Administrator ensures seamless delivery of all legacy data centers and new cloud services to internal, external clients and partners.
What you will bring to the table
- Administrating the cloud system through patches, permissions, and service deployments
- Monitoring and analyzing network performance to match on-demand requests
- Directs emergency restoration of services during outages and maintains an escalation list for internal and external resources
- Serves as escalation source for technical support issues
- Defining and implementing policies for cloud-based systems
- Establishing connections cloud network types and managing firewalls
- Responsible for providing high level and low-level logical diagrams of cloud compute, network, and storage systems
- Clearly communicating with IT and non-IT professionals to ensure effective use of all services
- Approve or deny change requests for cloud management service modifications
- Resolve operational problems for cloud systems
- Evaluate and implement new cloud computing technologies
- Designs, Installs, and maintains the corporate server infrastructure consisting of Windows Server platforms, Linux server platforms, and Hypervisor platforms
- Collaborate with security and compliance team members to revise, maintain, and adhere to data access and security guidelines and operating procedures for data classification, document retention, and user access
- Perform regularly scheduled security audits, according to established guidelines and procedures
- Understands 24/7 network availability and has a professional commitment to achieve 100% systems performance
- 24/7 Security Operations support rotation
- Participate in the budgetary planning process
We know you will have and be able to
- Bachelor’s degree required and at least 7 years of progressive experience specifically in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Experience and/or Certification with Google Cloud Platform
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Good organization and time management skills
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities
- Great customer service and interpersonal skill
We would love it if you also have and are able to
- Azure Administrator Associate certification
- Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate certification
- CompTIA A+/Network certification, Azure Administrator Association certification, Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate certification
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements
- Ability to communicate effectively both in terms of both oral and written; research, develop, present, and promote projects; work independently; prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Travel requirements required outside of your home office will be less than 5% depending on our business needs

- Approximate salary of $85,000 - $120,000; exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience and geographic location.
