Job description

This is a remote position.

Our client is seeking an experienced Communication & Engagement Consultant to support the delivery of strategic and tactical communications across a complex, multi-site healthcare environment.This role is critical to driving awareness, commitment, and adoption among diverse stakeholder groups, including clinicians, technical teams, and leadership. The consultant will collaborate closely with internal communications teams, change management leads, and program leadership to align messaging and maximize engagement impact.



Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute targeted communications aligned with organizational change management (OCM) strategy using stakeholder and readiness assessments to guide message design.

  • Create compelling, visually engaging materials for multiple channels, including newsletters, portals, town hall presentations, alerts, and more.

  • Leverage various communication platforms effectively based on channel assessments to maximize reach and clarity.

  • Track communication effectiveness and adjust tactics as needed to support program goals.

  • Maintain close coordination with project and communications leadership to ensure alignment with branding, policies, and evolving program needs.

  • Manage print vendors and production of site readiness and training materials.

  • Respond to urgent or emergent communication needs and contribute to site-level communication planning.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in large, multi-stakeholder transformation projects, ideally in CIS/HIS or healthcare technology environments.
  • Strong grasp of OCM principles and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical/clinical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Highly skilled in visual communication and executive-level presentation design.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and other design/communication tools.
  • Relationship-focused, collaborative team player with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solutions-oriented.
Preferred Experience:
  • Graphic design and U/X expertise.
  • Background in digital agency work or similar environments.
  • Ethnographic/user research and journey mapping.
  • Proficiency in web design tools (e.g., HTML, WordPress, WIX, Squarespace) and social media strategy.
